31st Annual Texas Biggie

2008 Texas Biggie Announcement

RCRCNT is proud to announce that the 31st Annual Texas Biggie will be held on the dates of July 17th-20th, 2008 at RCRCNT Raceway in Rendon (Dallas/ Ft. Worth), Texas. Please note that the dates of this year’s Biggie reflect a departure from it’s traditional Memorial Day time in an effort to avoid the weather from putting a damper on this event. The Biggie has suffered from rain in 2 of the last 3, and 3 of the last 11 years, so the club voted to make this date change for this year. In future years we will weigh the benefits of this date compared to the traditional date when scheduling.

Last year when the 1/8 Open A-Main was rained out, there was a promise made to those who did not run their main that this year’s entry fees would be complimentary. RCRCNT not only stands behind that promise, but we will throw in a complimentary covered pit space to boot!

This year’s entry fees will be reduced to forty dollars for the first class, thirty dollars for the second class and the covered, pavestoned floored pits with electricity are only ten dollars each!

Flyer will be posted soon. Join us!

Its on my calendar

I'll be there again this year. Hopefully we'll get in the whole thing this time. Last year even with the rain was a blast. But I sure did want to see the 1/8 experts run.

We will have
1/8 Open
1/8 Spec

The masters classes will be run pending enough entries (right now min of 10)
We are looking at an exhibition class for IGT if there is interest.

Bob,

I have a IGT car so you know that you have at least one guy that is interested. Second, are the ages for the masters' classes mirror the ROAR age limit of 45?

2008 Texas BIGGIE Classes

Juan,

Yes, the age limit is per ROAR Rules.

Good to know we have an IGT. I will make sure that others know so we can hopefully put together a class. I know I would like to see them run.

Well Terry, a lot has been going on since the last races in the DFW metroplex. I traded the Evolva for the Inferno GT car for racing it in the Bass Pro Series in Jackson, MS (they have a class established there). But, I will race it anywhere there is a class of them here in Texas (if I can make the race). However, I did pick up a MRX4R with some parts so I could still have my F1 of r/c cars. Sam had to quit r/c racing because of his job. After getting a 960 '07, Ed has pretty much given up r/c racing and is trying to get into shifter cart racing. Rodney has been limited to r/c racing due to his new job, so, he doesn't get a chance to race very much. Team TQ will see if we can muster up enough troops to come and put up a valiant effort in racing in 2008.

Shifter Karts aren't big around here at the NTK sprint track. Unless maybe he is planning on road racing?
