Tyler TX indoor carpet off-road, on-road, drag, and more

Several months ago a local entrepreneur tried to open an indoor rc race track in Tyler TC called Tyler RC Complex. His name is Steve, a very cool guy, who also owns and runs several Rocket Fizz candy/soda shops in Texas. The local franchise owner of Hobbytown USA (Abe - Tyler and Longview) filed a civil complaint that the building was not coded for such activity. The venue is now in the process of relocating. It features the newest CRC HD carpet, moveable jumps, a wall ride, current AMB MyLaps timing system, and a ton of local community support. The new location is currently undisclosed, but it includes a large enclosed area along with many acres to add outdoor racing, crawling, drone FPV, etc courses. Expect the new location to officially open in a month or so.

Re-posting from one of our rc friends on rctech (oldernoob):

Check Facebook for details under "Tyler RC Complex" and details are there, pasted from FaceBook:

"Wow, it's been awhile folks! Well, we got the first roll of CRC FasTrak HD down at our NEW location! Won't be long now, and we'll be ready to rock and roll!

We've moved to a larger venue, giving us the space to not only continue with the on-road/off-road carpet racing, but will be including a 1/10th scale carpet drag strip, an outdoor dirt track soon to follow, and 20+ acres of wild terrain for r/c crawling! Stay tuned for our opening announcement.

Fantastic looking place...and I want to say that the local Hobbytown owner seems like a dick to do that to you guys. I hope you racers stop supporting him. Typically Hobbytown owners are glad to support a track.

That's been my experience with HT as well. That said, he was apparently right... not like it's his fault.
