Texas EOS 2019!!

Lots of new fun stuff coming!!

More heads up racing, less qualifying!

City competition and trophy!

True spec racing!

Format:
2 Qualifiers
Triple Mains for Everyone
Rocket Round on all surfaces

Winner of the lower main (B1, C1) will bump into the next higher main. There is opportunity to bump from the C main into the A.

Dates:

June 9th RCRCNT
July 20th Ncontrol (evening race under the lights)
August 17th Mikes in Porter (evening race under the lights)
Sept 15th San Antonio
October 13th Ncontrol finale

Classes
Mod Sedan
Super Stock Sedan (Spec handout motors with fixed FDR)
CanAm Gt (USGT with spec handout motors and fixed FDR)
25.5 F1
GT8e
Novice (rules to be determined)

Local Classes
We are going to push for the tracks to have their local classes be big this coming year. For example, 12th scale at NControl.

We are moving to the spec handout motors. What does this mean for the racer?

1. You save money. I have not come up with the specifics of how we will do the motors yet, but you will not have to buy a fresh $150 motor every few months.
2. Everyone is closer on the track which leads to better qualifying and racing. No more unicorn motors.
3. These are the same classes that some of the biggest events are going to.
4. One less tuning piece to worry about. This will allow everyone to focus on chassis tuning and driving.

I think we should add a 25.5 TC FPV class!

Chris,

Your post lists triple mains for everyone with bump ups... So does this mean that we will run triple C mains to see who bumps up to the B? Or did you mean triple A mains for all classes??

Sorry.. just don't understand how this works...

I think you may have read before he updated the first post. We'll run B1, bump the top finisher to A1. B2 and B3 will include only the remaining B main drivers, while the bumped driver will compete in A2 and A3.

Note that this means the minimum number seated in the B main will be the minimum required marshals plus 1.

Everything here is correct, except the bump will compete in the next highest main. So if you win “B1”, you will be seated into “A1”. Second place in “B1” will end up with the first place position in “B1”. Hopefully this all clears up the format.

While I do expect the day to be a little longer than before, I do believe that we will be able to get it done on time. One year we ran three quals and triple mains.
