RC10T4 Stadium Truck

'Allo Mates. Bought another derelict off Ebay. Associated RC10T4 for use as a reserve truck in my grass track series. She's a bit rough, but she'll clean up for the prom alright.

Spent the afternoon making a roller of sorts out of her. Not nearly the basket case I thought it might be. Pared down to parts order to Amain considerably.

More to come as the scrub-up continues. Cheers. AC

T4 Roll Out

Bench ready. Runs straight on the shop floor. HW 13.5 Justock Combo set at 60% pumped with a 2sx4200 LiPo 'shorty'. Spectrum DX4C controller. Trying the new Spectrum SR215 Sport Surface Rcvr.

Swapped in some new parts. Then took some of them back out. They looked "too new". This is a race get-ready; not a frame off resto. 10-lap Test Session on the grass track due out. Hack body is on me. Wish Listing a JConcepts body for August when Amain purchase points mature.

Thanks for looking in. Cheers and Regards. AC

T4 Test Session

Hey gang,

0hr:21min test session today. 10U + 10T laps. 20 laps total. 97deg F, 49% Hum., Extreme UV Index. Typical Texas summer race day.

Truck performed in a quite docile manner. No surprises. Will have to tighten up the slipper for standing starts off the line. Adjustment penalty waived since it is a roll-out test session.

Timed first session unofficially at 1:49. Second session came in at 2:17. Went wide into the tall grass coming out of corner 1 going into corner 2. Had to self marshal. So the time is somewhat misleading.

Overall, a satisfying test session, although had to duck rain drops to get 'er done. Track was close cut in accordance with the rules package, but still a bit damp from yesterdays watering and today's sprinkles. She actually got loose going into corner 3 after unloading the suspension by trafficing the tree root hazard on approach.

Anxious now to put her in race rotation after the summer break.

Thanks for continuing to look in. Cheers and Regards. AC

Track Practice Session

Ran a full 70-lap practice session with the T4 yesterday in advance of the Belgian ST GP, Aug30-Sep1. 90deg F, 61% Hum., UV Moderate. Threatening rain the entire session but held to the schedule and just cleared the track when a rain shower hit. Whew!

Had a steering servo failure last lap, indeed last turn, of the practice session. Truck went wide coming out of corner 3 into corner 4 and could not bring her back. Had to self-marshal and re-set it for finish, but could tell without steering it would not clear between the start-finish cones. So, off the driver stand for another self-marshal, this time re-setting the car dead center in the lane. All the time the practice clock was running. Got her through and to finish with a short trigger squeeze under the yellow flag.

Had it been an actual event, T4 would have qualified Q4 and finished P9 for two points. Still better than a DNF and the one point that would have brought.

New steering servo out of the pit box in place now and ready to schedule a 10-lap test check.

Thanks for looking in and following along. Cheers and regards. AC

Update images of the T4

Here's the RC10T4 at qualifying and staging. New is JConcepts body. My Baja 1000 paint scheme preference applied by RC Bombshells out of Nevada. Been picking up the odd bits and pieces off Ebay. More for repair and replace than upgrade. Cheers. 'AC'

I have what’s left of a rolling chassis, missing one dog bone. And some assorted extra parts and upgrade parts. If interested let me know.
