Texas Biggie postponed! We have evaluated the weather and cannot ignore the fact that there is a significant chance of rain that increases with each day. Forecast is 40-60 percent Friday, 60-80 percent Sat and 80-100 percent Sunday. Saturday and Sunday rain amounts are high enough that it would take many hours to recover the track. We do have water running across the track and saturation coupled with no forecast for sun over the next three days leaves us in a bad place. We regret any inconvenience, but feel it is the best call right now.
The race will be rescheduled as soon as we can come up with a workable date. Watch rcfiles for updates.

2015 Texas Biggie- New Date- 6/12-14/2015

2015 Texas Biggie-New Date
The Texas Biggie has been rescheduled for June/12, 13, 14/2015.

We will prep the track Friday morning for afternoon practice only, to start about 2pm until dusk.
Sat morn practice 8-11, drivers meeting and 4 scheduled rounds of qualifying (weather and entry count permitting).
Sunday will be morning practice and all fuel mains (see below for other Sunday activities).

RCRCNT will also welcome electric racers from around the area that run in the Texas EOS. Electric practice sessions will be scheduled between qualifying rounds on Sat, so come get some practice.
Electric (3) qualifiers and mains will run on Sunday, along with the fuel program. The electric group are to coordinate their program through Chris Adams on rcfiles.com.

We hope to see everyone at the 38th Annual Texas Biggie.

I dont think it will change anything. Maybe Bob can say if it will but I dont think it will. Both EOS and SWS are scheduled to share the track that weekend. If anything, the Biggie will be a great way for the electric and nitro guys to start to coexist.

I only asked this because with the races being so close, some may choose not to go to GCR SWCS race for "fill in the blank" reasons. Electric and nitro coexisting is not an issue, people attending the SWCS races is the concern.

Yes. Sedan, GT and Open.

This year the Biggie is combined with a regional electric event.

Yes, it is usually reserved for nitro cars. But, times are changing and the organizers of the Texas Biggie coordinated with Chris Adams to run electric in an EOS-styled race within the race. And, with Bob Ingersoll giving me permission to coordinate an electric GT class, you don't necessarily have to have a 10th scale electric TC to come to the track and have fun. Just need 5 electric GT races to make a class. Since we are the first, we can set the standard for the class. I have a simple set of rules that can be a guideline. The only determination is whether qualifiers should be 5 or 6 minutes and the mains 8 or 10 minutes. Feedback on the electric GT class will be helpful to lift this class off the ground.
