Anyone know of any good salvage yards around here? I've looked all over Google, Yahoo, Superpages.com, etc etc and I cannot find a listing for anything in this area. Do not have a phone book for Cedar Park yet so I'm stuck as to trying to find out.
It is critical I get my truck up and running in the next few days and I need some exhaust manifolds due to some issues with the ones that came off the truck (trying to remove some heat riser tube connections that have been heat cycling and rusting in the truck for over 20 years is not fun!)
Gotta do it on the cheap or else I would just buy some headers and be done with it. Failing finding some cheap manifolds, anyone out there able to weld cast iron? May be easier to weld em shut at that point.
seems like it would be easier to weld the heat riser tubes than find a used set of manifolds, you can braise cast with brass. where theres a will theres a way.
Never done it but that does give me an idea of sorts. Going to be extremely ghetto looking for now but I could at least get the things reinstalled and it up and running again.
Replacement set was a 2 fold thing.. these are not in great shape and have the issues mentioned with the heat riser connections.
Only worry with the ghetto fix is if the inspections people will let it fly. Doesn't need to be there due to it not being emission tested and such (missing the rest of the system anyhow... long story).

Don't underestimate what you can do with JB Weld.

On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

Thanks for the help guys... think I got it sorted for the short term but I do need to pick up some other parts to get it to pass inspection. Hopefully one of these 2 will be the ticket.
Who the hell cuts a lap belt from a seat belt assembly because its "uncomfortable" ?!<sighs>
RC files are collected and arranged for the majority of the affected people. The range of the flee and customwritings review is implied for the goals. The show is damaging for the turns and funds in the best interest of the ideal paths for the RC files.
